Joaquín Niemann claimed the LIV Golf title in Busan, South Korea, after defeating Talor Goch in a playoff. The Chilean finished at 12 under par for his first win of the 2026 season.
Niemann shot 67 in the final round at Asiad Country Club, tying Goch at 12 under par. In the playoff, the Chilean secured the win with a birdie on the first hole after a 150-yard approach shot.
The victory marks his eighth individual LIV Golf title and the first of 2026. Niemann leads the circuit’s all-time win count, having claimed five crowns in 2025.
Following the win, the Chilean received four million dollars. His season earnings now stand at 8,774,285 dollars, with a career LIV Golf total of 82,183,370 dollars.
Niemann said: “Me costó un poco. Me siento muy bien estando en esta situación”. The next event takes place in Andalusia, Spain, from June 4 to 7.
