Johnny Marr has announced his fifth solo album, The Age of Everything, which is scheduled to arrive on October 2 via BMG. The first single, Spin, is available now with an accompanying video.
The album title came to Marr early in the process. In a statement, he said it summed up how many people are feeling amid a sense of overwhelm from technology, while also suggesting possibility.
Marr's previous release was the pandemic-era double LP Fever Dreams Pts 1–4. The new project features 10 tracks, including Beyond the Rain, It’s Time, and All in a Life.
Fans in London this weekend can see Marr perform with the Gorillaz at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
