Former Formula 1 driver Jolyon Palmer said McLaren lost the Miami Grand Prix because of a hesitant strategy call while Mercedes acted decisively.
Jolyon Palmer argued that Mercedes secured victory with Kimi Antonelli through a proactive undercut strategy. McLaren driver Lando Norris led at the Hard Rock Stadium with Antonelli in second place before losing the advantage when Mercedes pitted the Italian for fresh tyres one lap earlier. Norris's subsequent stop came too late to recover the lead.
