José Luis Sastre to lead Hora 25 on Cadena SER from August

Cadena SER has announced changes to its main programs. José Luis Sastre will replace Aimar Bretos in Hora 25 from August 31, while Bretos will move to direct Hoy por Hoy.

Journalist José Luis Sastre will be the new director and presenter of Hora 25. He will be accompanied by Esther Bazán, in charge of the first news segment between 20:00 and 20:30.

Sastre begins this role after serving as deputy director of Hoy por Hoy with Àngels Barceló. “We will do what we do, what we know how to do, on Cadena SER with the strength of its newsroom: plural, independent and necessary journalism,” he stated in a video.

Àngels Barceló presented her last Hoy por Hoy this Thursday after 21 years at the station. “We turn the page, I am the left page, it is time to complete the right one,” she said in farewell and asked listeners to look after the team and especially José Luis Sastre.
