Ex-husband Kevin Federline has expressed support for Britney Spears' decision to enter rehab voluntarily five weeks after her DUI arrest, crediting her sons' influence and urging full completion of the treatment plan.
Attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan told TMZ that Federline is 'happy' Spears has checked into a treatment facility on her own initiative, following her March 4, 2026, DUI arrest in Ventura County. This comes amid ongoing developments in the case, including her previously reported court date on May 4.
"The key is that whatever the recommended treatment plan is that she follows it and completes it," Kaplan stated. Sources indicate Spears' sons, including Jayden James Federline, played a significant role in encouraging her decision.
No court order was involved, marking a proactive step by Spears in addressing the incident that has drawn family and public attention.
