Korea National Railway upgrades infrastructure with SUSE technologies

Korea National Railway has implemented SUSE Rancher Prime and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server to modernize its core systems. The move shifts the organization from rigid server management to an agile infrastructure-as-code setup.

Mr. Ahn, Deputy General Manager of the Korea National Railway Corporation, confirmed the successful transition. The changes support better public service through open source tools.

The adoption includes SUSE Rancher Prime for container management and SLES for enterprise server needs. This enables automated operations aligned with cloud native practices.

The update was announced on July 6, 2026. It reflects ongoing digital efforts in the rail sector.
