Ksenia Efremova opens up on training challenges before French Open debut

Seventeen-year-old Ksenia Efremova has discussed difficulties training with other juniors ahead of her main-draw debut at the French Open. The French player received a wildcard entry and will face Sorana Cirstea in the first round at Roland Garros.

Efremova, currently ranked world No. 625, earned her spot in the main draw after winning the girls' title at the Australian Open earlier this year. She noted that some junior players have refused to train with her since her recent successes, particularly because of her wildcard status. “They don’t want to play sets because I’m a wildcard,” she told reporters in Paris.
