Lindlöven beat Bodens HF 2–0 away on Maundy Thursday, securing the series 3–2 after trailing 0–2. The team is closer than ever to playing in hockeyallsvenskan. They now face heavy favorite Hudiksvall in the northern qualification final.
Lindlöven took a 2–0 lead in the first period of the decisive fifth game against Bodens HF, winning 2–0 (2–0, 0–0, 0–0) away in Boden. The victory flipped the series from 0–2 to 3–2, eliminating Bodens HF.
Coach Lennart Hermansson said: “No one believed in us in this series either.” Lindlöven has surprised everyone in the Hockeyettan playoffs and is now one step from hockeyallsvenskan.
Up next is Hudiksvall, which dominated the northern Hockeyettan and enters as heavy favorite in the northern qualification final. Lindlöven aims to continue its unlikely run.
