Linus Vestli wins Swedish fishing championship in Nyköping

19-year-old Linus Vestli from Borlänge claimed victory in the men's senior class at the Swedish fishing championship held in Nyköping over the weekend.

Around 200 people took part in the competition. Linus collected 5.4 kilograms of fish, mainly bleak, roach and bream, during the hours of the match fishing format.

– It cannot be described in words. It is always as fun to reach the podium, says Linus Vestli.

He has fished since childhood and carries two Swedish championship golds, one silver, one bronze and two district championship golds from earlier events. Linus notes that the interest comes from the family, especially his father and grandfather.
