Lucas Lucco's mother reflects on self-esteem after shaving her head

Karina Lucco, mother of singer Lucas Lucco, posted on Instagram on Friday (17/4) a bald photo, celebrating self-esteem amid treatment for alopecia areata. She shaved her head due to the autoimmune condition causing hair loss. The physical educator encouraged followers to maintain discipline in healthy routines despite challenges.

Karina Lucco, physical educator and mother of singer Lucas Lucco, shared on Instagram on April 17 a positive message after shaving her head due to alopecia areata. "I love these days… When you think you're beautiful even bald! 🥰✨", she wrote in the photo caption.

She disclosed the diagnosis last month, explaining it is an autoimmune condition where the immune system attacks hair follicles, causing patches and hair loss. "It's not contagious. It's not due to lack of care", Karina clarified.

Earlier this month, the singer's mother vented about medication side effects, such as corticosteroids affecting the immune system and causing hormonal changes that lead to lethargy and low energy. "It's not just about hair. Yes, every medicine has its side effects", she said. Still, she advocated continuing workouts: "There are tough days… and that's okay. Adapting the workout is also discipline."

In the comments, fans praised her: "True beauty comes from within", one wrote. Another said: "You are beautiful ❤️💖✨️🙏". Karina stressed respecting one's own time but persisting.
