A man in his mid-20s was shot dead in Hässelby in northwest Stockholm on Friday evening. One male person has been arrested, according to police spokesperson Anna Lärk.
The alarm about the shooting came in just before 8 p.m. The shooting took place outdoors in a residential area and police responded with multiple resources. The scene has been searched including with a dog patrol.
The crime scene is cordoned off and police are working on talking to witnesses and reviewing surveillance footage, said Anna Lärk. Police have questioned people who were in the area when the shooting occurred.
The man was taken to hospital by ambulance helicopter, but his life could not be saved. Police confirmed the death late on Friday evening. The incident is being investigated as murder.
