NBC has greenlit four pilots to series for the 2026-27 television season. The network also scrapped four other projects, including a drama starring Emily Deschanel. The decisions follow an evaluation of eight pilots developed for consideration.
The ordered series include the multi-camera comedy Newlyweds, starring real-life spouses Tea Leoni and Tim Daly, and the single-camera Sunset P.I., led by Jake Johnson. Additional orders went to the law enforcement drama Line of Fire, starring Peter Krause, and a contemporary reboot of The Rockford Files, starring David Boreanaz. These projects join returning series such as Chicago Fire and Law & Order on the network's schedule.
