Noname will mark the 10th anniversary of her debut album Telefone with a North American tour this summer. The run begins August 2 in Toronto and concludes September 10 in her hometown of Chicago. She will also perform at Pitchfork Festival London in November.
The Chicago rapper shared the news on Instagram, reflecting on the album's origins.
“I hope 10 years ago in some small corner of the world you heard the imagination of young folks from the city of Chicago,” Noname wrote. “Telefone was raised by a community.”
The 15-date tour includes stops in Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Houston, Los Angeles, and Seattle. Additional performances are set for the Richmond Jazz Festival and Bumbershoot Festival.
Telefone, released in 2016, established Noname as a distinctive voice in hip-hop with its intimate, jazz-inflected sound.
