Jade Bermingham rode the 11-year-old mare Noor Al Noufous to win the 2026 Royal Windsor Arab ridden championship on the show’s final morning of 17 May. The local rider’s purchase of the horse in October paid off as the pair beat stallions and geldings to claim the title. Noor Al Noufous, described by her owner as Mrs Reliable, remained unfazed by the atmosphere.
Jade Bermingham, who lives five minutes from the castle, had ridden the mare for two years before buying her with her mother and mother-in-law. This marked her first show with the horse since the purchase. “She’s a bit of a family pony, really,” Bermingham said. “She lives with my mother in law and hacks out – all nice and relaxed. I just pinch her and take her to the odd show. We bought her in October. She’s the sweetest, sweetest horse.”
