OpenSource Science B.V., or OS-SCi, is organizing a two-day free hackathon focused on open source mobile development. The Lomiri Tech Meeting, set for May 16-17 at OS-SCi's Tilburg headquarters, targets students building apps for Lomiri and Ubuntu Touch. Attendees will receive free development books and hear keynotes from project leaders.
OS-SCi, a Netherlands-based institution dedicated to training developers in Free and Open Source Software, announced the Lomiri Tech Meeting. The event emphasizes hands-on app development for Lomiri, the mobile OS maintained by UBports, and Ubuntu Touch. OS-SCi partners with organizations like LPI, UBports, the Rust Foundation, and the Python Institute for its programs from its Tilburg base at Spoorlaan 400, near the main train station, with wheelchair accessibility available pending confirmation with organizers.
