Following announcements of the Overwatch revamp and hero Sierra, Reign of Talon Season 2 launched on April 14 with a native Nintendo Switch 2 version offering 60 FPS visuals and audio in docked/handheld modes. The update adds Sierra's full kit and lore ties, the Grand Mesa event, Lijiang Night Market map, hero tweaks, enhanced post-match features, and new cosmetics.
Season 2 of Overwatch Reign of Talon arrived today, expanding on the post-Overwatch 2 relaunch with platform support and content depth. The new Nintendo Switch 2 edition delivers upgraded graphics, sound, and stable 60 FPS performance across modes— a first for the franchise on Nintendo hardware.
Sierra, the sixth hero of 2026 and 51st overall, debuts with lore linking her to Soldier: 76 and Reaper via her mother's super soldier past. Her abilities include a spiral rifle with ramping accuracy, homing beacon, grappling drone, shockwave bomb, and an ultimate drone swarm for carpet bombing. The Grand Mesa event offers Sierra-themed challenges unlocking lore comics and cosmetics.
Building on the announced Antarctic Peninsula rework for better flow and flanks, Season 2 introduces Control map Lijiang Night Market in Stadium mode, where Ramattra is now available from the start, Jetpack Cat arrives mid-season, and Juno gets balance changes. Perk updates hit Mercy, Soldier: 76, Reaper, Pharah, and Ramattra.
Post-match accolades return with 3D renders and voting. Cosmetics feature mythic skins for Soldier: 76 (armored) and Genji (evolving weapon), a cherry blossom Sakura set, and a Le Sserafim collaboration—complementing prior Diablo crossover elements.
Four more heroes are slated for the year, continuing the seasonal expansion arc.
