Itinatakda ng Pagcor ang bahagi sa kita mula sa sports betting

Inihayag ng Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (Pagcor) ang kanyang bahagi sa gross gaming revenues (GGR) ng mga bookie para sa live at virtual sports betting. Ayon sa memorandum order noong Enero 19, 15 porsiyento ang bahagi para sa live sports games at 30 porsiyento para sa virtual sports games. Ito ay naaprubahan pagkatapos ng pagpupulong ng board noong Enero 8.

Noong Enero 19, naglabas ng memorandum order si Jessa Mariz Fernandez, head ng PAGCOR Electronic Gaming Licensing Department, na nagtatakda ng mga rate ng bahagi ng Pagcor sa GGR ng mga bookie. Para sa live sports games, 15 porsiyento ito ng GGR, habang 30 porsiyento naman para sa virtual sports games. Ang mga rate na ito ay naaprubahan ng board of directors ng Pagcor pagkatapos ng pagpupulong noong Enero 8, kung saan amyenda sa Regulatory Framework for the Fees and Rates on Gaming Venue Operations ang pinag-usapan.

"The above PAGCOR Share Rates shall apply retroactively to November 2025 billing period as originally scheduled," pahayag ni Fernandez. Bukod dito, ipinatupad din ng Pagcor ang minimum guaranteed fee (MGF) sa mga online gambling operators. Sa unang tranche mula Abril 1 hanggang Setyembre 30, ang mga Gaming System Administrators (GSA) na may electronic casino games at minimum P30 milyon GGR bawat buwan ay magbabayad ng P9 milyon MGF, habang yung walang electronic casino games at minimum P15 milyon GGR ay P3 milyon.

Sa ikalawang tranche mula Oktubre 1 at patuloy, ang mga GSA na may electronic casino games at minimum P35 milyon GGR ay magbabayad ng P10.5 milyon MGF, at yung walang electronic casino games at P20 milyon GGR ay P4 milyon bawat buwan. Ang mga hakbang na ito ay bahagi ng pagsisikap ng Pagcor na regulahin ang gaming operations sa bansa.
