Singer Patrick Bruel posted a message on social media Sunday evening denying rape allegations made against him by presenter Flavie Flament. She had announced on Friday that she filed a complaint over an alleged incident in 1991.
Flavie Flament stated she filed a rape complaint on May 15. She described a meeting in the 1990s during a shoot for M6, followed by a visit to the singer’s home where she claims she experienced a blackout.
Patrick Bruel, 67, responded by saying he had a brief consensual relationship with her at the time. He denied any use of violence or drugs and rejected descriptions of abandonment or mistreatment.
The singer noted he is currently accused by thirty women of sexual violence. He expressed confidence in the justice system to establish the facts and said he would continue his professional activities, including his play at the Théâtre Édouard VII.
