Prime Video cancels Gen V after two seasons

Prime Video has canceled its series Gen V, a spin-off from The Boys, after two seasons, TVLine has confirmed. Executive producers Eric Kripke and Evan Goldberg stated that the characters' stories will continue in The Boys Season 5 and other projects. Fans of Godolkin University will see key figures like Marie Moreau and Jordan Li return in the main series.

Prime Video announced the cancellation of Gen V, ending the show after its second season. The series, set at Godolkin University during the events of The Boys, followed a new generation of Supes navigating college life and superhuman challenges. TVLine confirmed the news on April 24, 2026. Eric Kripke and Evan Goldberg, the executive producers, released a statement: 'While we wish we could keep the party going another season at Godolkin, we're committed to continuing the Gen V characters' stories in The Boys Season 5 and other VCU projects on the horizon. You'll see them again.' Season 2 featured Jaz Sinclair as Marie Moreau, Lizze Broadway as Emma Meyer, Maddie Phillips as Cate Dunlap, London Thor and Derek Luh as Jordan Li, Asa Germann as Sam Riordan, Sean Patrick Thomas as Polarity, and Hamish Linklater as Dean Cipher. Chance Perdomo had previously portrayed Andre Anderson, who died in a motorcycle accident before Season 2 production. The season finale saw Marie confront Thomas Godolkin, played by guest star Ethan Slater, culminating in her defeating him explosively. She declared to his remains, 'That was for Andre... Thanks for the level up, a–hole.' With Vought approaching, Marie and her friends parted ways, some aligning with Starlight in the Rebellion. Showrunner Michele Fazekas noted Marie's growth: 'She has — and in different ways, they all have — become so much more powerful.' Marie and Jordan are set to join the fight against Homelander in The Boys Season 5, as shown in its trailer.
