Protección launches Bitcoin investment alternatives with BlackRock

Protección announced two new investment options linked to Bitcoin performance, developed with BlackRock products. One offers 100% capital protection at maturity while the other targets investors with higher risk tolerance.

The Colombian company Protección presented the alternatives on June 23, 2026. The structured solution requires a minimum investment of 5 million pesos and a horizon of about three years, with potential returns of up to 30% depending on the performance of the iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF.

The Portafolio Protección Activos Alternativos Bitcoin allows investments starting at 500,000 pesos and provides access to BlackRock ETFs without the need to buy cryptocurrencies directly. This vehicle exposes clients to market fluctuations.

Juan David Correa, president of Protección, noted that the options expand alternatives for diversified portfolios according to each client's risk profile. Diego Mora, BlackRock country manager for Colombia, Peru and Central America, highlighted growing institutional interest in Bitcoin.
