Rafa Nadal Academy to open first Southeast Asia tennis center in Lombok

Rafa Nadal Academy announced the opening of its first Rafa Nadal Tennis Center in Southeast Asia in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. The center will form part of the Samara Lombok resort and is scheduled to begin operations in the first quarter of 2028.

Deputy General Manager of Rafa Nadal Academy Maribel Nadal expressed enthusiasm for the project. "We are very excited about the arrival of the first Rafa Nadal Tennis Center in Southeast Asia. Lombok is a destination with enormous international potential," she said.

The training center will feature four tennis courts and four padel courts. It will offer programs for participants of all ages and skill levels based on the methodology developed by Rafael Nadal over more than two decades.

The Samara Lombok area is located about 25 minutes from Lombok International Airport on 150 hectares of land. The initial phase will include three hotels and 150 villas as part of a total development of 500 residential villas.
