The HBO series Euphoria concluded its third season with the death of main character Rue in the episode titled In God We Trust. The season also serves as the series finale.
In the finale, Rue overdoses on fentanyl after mistaking pills from Alamo for Percocet. She is shown dying in her sleep on Ali's couch after the medication is revealed to be fake through a test kit. Ali later learns of her death and reacts by attending a 12-step meeting where he expresses anger over fentanyl's role in the country before announcing his departure from the group.
