Santiago Metro extends hours for New Year's celebration

Santiago Metro will operate on a special schedule on December 31, 2025, with extensions on lines 1 and 3 to ease access to New Year's celebrations at Torre Entel.

Ahead of New Year 2026, Chile's Metropolitan Region prepares for a fireworks show at Torre Entel, featuring drones and musical performances. To support these festivities, Santiago Metro will implement extended hours on December 31.

Ingress stations will operate until 1:30 a.m. on Line 1 (Los Héroes) and Lines 1 and 3 (Universidad de Chile). For egress, stations such as San Pablo, Las Rejas, Estación Central, Los Héroes, Universidad de Chile, Baquedano, Tobalaba, Escuela Militar, and Los Domínicos on Line 1; and Plaza Quilicura, Los Libertadores, Ñuñoa, and Plaza Egaña on Line 3 will be available.

La Moneda station will be closed from 3:00 p.m. On January 1, service will follow the holiday schedule, from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

This measure aims to facilitate public transport during the capital's celebrations, avoiding congestion in central Santiago.
