Saquon Shugars and Shiloh Hill win at NXT Great American Bash

Two non-title matches took place at the NXT Great American Bash Premium Live Event on June 29. Saquon Shugars defeated Dion Lennox while Shiloh Hill beat Tristan Angels.

Saquon Shugars defeated Dion Lennox in their first in-ring clash since DarkState kicked Shugars out of the group. DarkState members Osiris Griffin and Cutler James appeared during the bout, marking their first on-screen appearance since Shugars took them out ahead of the event.

Shugars secured the victory but was immediately attacked by DarkState afterward. Dion Lennox then struck Shugars with a baseball bat during the post-match assault.

In the first non-title match on the card, Shiloh Hill defeated Tristan Angels. The two had been at odds after Hill was voted Mr. NXT over Angels. During the match Angels was dragged under the ring where a phone rang, allowing Hill to appear in a mask and choke him.

Hill won the match and said in his post-match promo that he showed why no one should be sleeping on him.
