Save the Children invites bids for vegetable seeds supply

Save the Children International has issued a tender for the supply and delivery of vegetable seeds for its EU-funded project in Ethiopia's Afar Region. Qualified suppliers are invited to bid, with documents available from November 11 to 21, 2025. Bids must be submitted by November 24, 2025.

Save the Children International (SCI) is seeking qualified suppliers for vegetable seeds under Tender Reference SCI-ET-2025-026. The procurement supports SCI's EU-funded AICS project, implemented in Afar Region's Afambo, Chifra, and Telalak woredas.

Mandatory requirements include legal registration with a valid business license for seed production or supply, proof of stock availability, and evidence of experience in supplying agricultural or vegetable seeds over the last three years. Bidders must also provide at least three recommendation letters or work certificates from prior contracts with government entities or international NGOs. Detailed criteria are outlined in the bid document.

Interested companies can obtain tender documents from SCI's Addis Ababa Country Office for a non-refundable fee of ETB 100. The office is located close to Meskel Square, near the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Documents will be available from November 11, 2025, to November 21, 2025, during working hours.

Bids must be submitted in separate sealed envelopes bearing the official company seal, clearly marked with the bidder's name, address, and tender reference. Submissions go into the designated bid box at the SCI Addis Ababa office by 3:00 PM on November 24, 2025.

SCI reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, in whole or in part.
