Sabotage Studio has released the Sunset Edition of Sea of Stars as the game's final major update after nearly three years of content additions. The patch introduces new story elements while hinting at the developer's next project. The studio is now shifting focus to full production on Project Sparrow.
The update, now listed as the game's full title on storefronts, features a new high-budget cinematic intro that shows faces for previously unnamed heroes from the past. It also expands a key flashback sequence and rebalances Normal and Hard difficulty modes by splitting the Tactician's Mettle relic attributes into two separate relics. Developers confirmed in a video that they have worked on Project Sparrow for over a year and have now entered full production. The new game is expected to take place in the same universe as Sea of Stars. To mark the occasion the game's price has been cut in half for the first time. Sea of Stars remains available on PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 1 and 2, and mobile platforms.
