Following the success of Ryan Coogler's Sinners at the 2026 Golden Globes and other awards, the film's ensemble cast is gearing up for a range of new films and series. Michael B. Jordan, Wunmi Mosaku, and others have several high-profile roles lined up, spanning thrillers, animations, and blockbusters. Director Ryan Coogler also teases his next ventures in television and the Marvel universe.
The acclaim for Sinners, where Michael B. Jordan portrays twin brothers Smoke and Stack, has propelled its cast into exciting opportunities. The film features Miles Caton as Sammie “Preacherboy” Moore, Wunmi Mosaku as Annie, Hailee Steinfeld as Mary, Delroy Lindo as Delta Slim, Jayme Lawson as Pearline, Jack O’Connell as Remmick the Vampire, and Omar Benson Miller as Cornbread.
Ryan Coogler, fresh off Sinners, is set to helm a remake of the TV series The X-Files, confirmed in April 2025 after an initial 2023 announcement. In an interview on Last Podcast on the Left, Coogler shared, “I’ve been excited about that for a long time and I’m fired up to get back to it. Some of those episodes, if we do our jobs right, will be really fucking scary.” On the film side, he will direct Black Panther 3, featuring Denzel Washington in an undisclosed role.
Jordan stars in the reimagined heist thriller The Thomas Crown Affair as a billionaire art thief pursued by an investigator, leading to romance. He also voices a woodland creature in the 2026 Netflix animated comedy Swapped, alongside Juno Temple as a bird, where they swap bodies for a survival adventure.
Wunmi Mosaku appears in The Social Reckoning, a companion to the 2010 film The Social Network, directed by Aaron Sorkin and slated for October 9 theaters. She plays Gladys in the prison thriller The Life and Deaths of Wilson Shedd, where a teacher in an abusive marriage falls for an inmate; filming wrapped in August 2025.
Miles Caton, a recent Critics Choice winner, mentioned an undisclosed film in November 2025 and a forthcoming EP. Delroy Lindo joins Godzilla X Kong: Supernova on March 26, 2027, battling monsters. Hailee Steinfeld stars opposite Miles Teller in the 2026 Olympic romance Winter Games and reprises Spider-Gwen in Spider-Man: Beyond the Spiderverse on June 4, 2027. Jack O’Connell co-stars with Lindo in Godzilla X Kong: Supernova and returns as cult leader Sir Lord Jimmy Crystal in 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple on January 16.
These projects highlight the cast's versatility post-Sinners success.
