Starz has announced that season 2 of its Outlander prequel spinoff, Blood of My Blood, will debut this fall. The network released a teaser trailer depicting Brian and Ellen separated by battle, along with glimpses of Julia and Henry's life in London. The footage builds on season 1's cliffhangers involving clan rebellions and time-travel elements.
Starz revealed the news on Thursday, sharing the first footage from season 2. In the teaser, Brian, played by Jamie Roy, and Ellen, portrayed by Harriet Slater, face separation amid a brewing clan battle. Ellen's voiceover pleads, 'Ye will come back to me,' as Brian joins Murtgah (Rory Alexander), Dougal (Sam Retford), and clansmen charging into combat, echoing the season 1 finale's tension over an arranged marriage and handfasting on the eve of rebellion. Julia (Hermione Corfield) and Henry (Jeremy Irvine) appear in contrasting scenes of domestic bliss with Claire in London, interrupted by worried looks from Mr. and Mrs. Beauchamp while Julia holds their infant son, William. The official synopsis states that the two young couples 'will be tested and separated by forces beyond their control, as every clan chooses a side in the rebellion.' Season 1 ended on a cliffhanger questioning whether Henry, Julia, or neither escaped through the stones during a flight from Arch Bug. The cast includes Tony Curran, Séamus McLean Ross, and Conor MacNeill. Meanwhile, the original Outlander series will conclude with its finale on May 15.
