The Swedish Bar Association demands that the government withdraw the rules on abolished legal representation. The organization refers to the change adapting Swedish law to the EU minimum level.
Karin Gyllenring in the Bar Association's working group on migration law issues says the change could lead to more incorrect expulsion decisions. She states that legal representation is replaced by two to three hours of advice.
The call comes as the EU's new asylum and migration pact is implemented in Swedish law. The Bar Association is now urging its members to refuse the new assignments.
