Swedish team to leave Dallas base upon advancement

Sweden's national team plans to leave its base in Dallas if it advances from the group stage at the 2026 World Cup. The decision calls for a flexible setup during the tournament.

Team manager Kim Källström confirmed the squad will stay on the road if it advances.

– If we advance we have decided to follow along and be ”on the road” the whole time, Källström said.

Secretary general Niclas Carlnén stressed the need for flexibility due to unknown locations and long travels.

The squad consists of 26 players and 32 staff. In group F the team could face opponents in Monterrey or Houston at the end of June.
