Tesla has deployed its initial Folding Unit V4 Supercharger in Europe. The pre-assembled unit aims to speed up network expansion across the continent.
The station arrived ready to unfold from a heavy-duty concrete base with an industrial hinge system. It features telescopic light poles that compress for transport and extend on site.
Tesla said the design halves installation time and cuts costs by more than 20 percent while allowing 33 percent more units per truck. Each unit includes one V4 power cabinet serving eight posts that deliver up to 500 kW per stall.
A broader rollout targeting major European motorway sites is scheduled for Q3 2026. The first unit appears to be located in Norway based on a photo shared by the company.
