Teurn Studios has relaunched with its Resort 2027 collection after receiving investment from Upsilon Investment. The Swedish brand, which closed last year due to unpaid accounts, now operates with a new chief executive.
Founder Anna Teurnell described the previous challenges in a recent interview. She noted good sales and customers but said the company could not secure backing after major American accounts failed to pay. "A startup company can’t deal with no payments," she explained.
The new collection maintains the brand’s signature style with subtle updates to classic pieces. It features collars on cotton shirts, a versatile cavalry twill coat, knee-length shorts, and tailored suiting that highlights the waist. Accessories include a single diamanté earring, fringed belts, city bags, and updated suede slip-ons.
Cicki Ovansjö, an industry veteran who previously collaborated with Teurnell, has joined as full-time chief executive. Teurnell also revisited an 1980s attaché case design and created an ivory cape top with a stabilizing seam under the arm.
