Two underage boys are being treated in hospital with life-threatening injuries after a stabbing on a city bus in Malmö on Tuesday. A 15-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy are injured, while an 18-year-old man and the 17-year-old boy have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
Police were alerted to Holma at 13:51 on Tuesday after a 15-year-old boy sustained stab and cut wounds on board a bus. He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to Region Skåne.
A 17-year-old boy was arrested together with an 18-year-old man near Holma football pitch, suspected of attempted murder. The 17-year-old boy was also taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The 18-year-old man was later detained by a prosecutor.
The incident arose after some form of fight between several people. Police are examining surveillance cameras from the bus, drone footage and witness statements to clarify what happened. The boys' relationship is unclear.
The bus driver has been taken out of service and is receiving support from Nobina. The bus was taken out of traffic and passengers were transferred to another bus.
