Ubisoft unveils winter roadmap for Assassin's Creed Shadows

Ubisoft has released its winter roadmap for Assassin's Creed Shadows, featuring updates like manual jumping and a community parkour challenge arriving on February 17. The plan also includes the Claws of Awaji expansion for Switch 2 players on March 10 and anniversary celebrations on March 20. These additions build on the game's strong performance since its release last year.

Ubisoft shared its Winter Roadmap for Assassin's Creed Shadows on February 16, 2026. The updates scheduled for February 17 include a community parkour challenge, full manual jump functionality, a detailed stats page, and critical hit visual improvements. The stats page is described by Ubisoft as ideal for "all the min-maxers out there." To access manual jumping, players must enable Advanced Parkour Options in the gameplay settings.

The community parkour challenge invites participants to create a one-shot run lasting 45 to 60 seconds, set anywhere in the game's world. Entries must be unedited and uploaded to YouTube before March 8, then shared on X using #ACShadowsParkourChallenge. Selected clips may be featured on Ubisoft's social media, with prizes available.

Looking to March, the Claws of Awaji expansion launches for Switch 2 on March 10. It adds a new region, weapon and abilities, outfits, legendary gear, an enemy faction with bosses, and a new story chapter, providing over 10 hours of content.

All platforms will see livestreams and giveaways on March 20 to mark the game's first anniversary. Assassin's Creed Shadows launched last year with a strong debut, reaching five million players by July, including two billion stealth kills and 38 million animals petted. Its Switch 2 version arrived in December.

The franchise faces challenges, including the October departure of former Assassin's Creed leader Marc-Alexis Côté following the creation of Tencent-backed Vantage Studios. Reports indicate he was asked to "step aside" rather than leaving voluntarily, and he filed a lawsuit against Ubisoft in January. Meanwhile, Netflix's Assassin's Creed adaptation is gaining momentum, with Toby Wallace cast as a co-lead.
