The Trump administration intends to automatically install its official White House app on all government-furnished mobile phones across the executive branch. At least one agency is set to begin the installations as soon as next week.
The app, released two months ago, provides press releases, official media, selective news articles and statistics. It also includes an option labeled Text President Trump that directs users to a marketing signup list. The version for government devices will match the one available to the public.
