World of Warcraft: Midnight serves as the second chapter of the Worldsoul Saga, positioned between The War Within (2024) and the upcoming The Last Titan. Revealed over the summer and showcased at Gamescom, the expansion launches on March 2, 2026. It returns players to a fully reimagined Quel'Thalas, where a massive Void invasion led by Xal'atath threatens the Sunwell. Players must reunite elven tribes, forge alliances, and battle to repel the Shadow. Key zones include Eversong, Zul'Aman, Harandar, and the Voidstorm.
New Features and Gameplay
A major addition is player housing, debuting in early access via the 1.2.7 update for those who purchase the expansion. Housing introduces a new in-game currency exclusive to housing items, though this has sparked some player debate. Blizzard has adjusted transmog changes in response to feedback. The expansion also debuts the Haranir, a new Allied Race from the hidden zone of Harandar, known for their flora-based architecture.
Progression flexibility allows players to choose zone order after completing Eversong. Onboarding updates include a streamlined path for new players from Exile's Reach to a story mode Dragonflight up to level 70, and catch-up content for returning players, such as a recap tour in Arathi Highlands and a quick War Within summary to reach level 80.

To celebrate housing, Blizzard offers rewards across its titles via the 'Welcome Home' achievement, earned by moving into a home and filling out a form. Rewards include:
