It helps plan faster responses and preventive actions in high-risk areas. The technology adds to the territory-wide flood risk visualisation system deployed after last year's Super Typhoon Ragasa.

The government has approved the Urban Challenge Fund (UCF) to boost urban development, providing Rs 1 lakh crore in central assistance from FY 2025-26 to FY 2030-31. The fund is expected to catalyse nearly Rs 4 lakh crore in total investment, emphasizing market-linked financing.
