3000 customers without power in Mönsterås

A major power outage is affecting 3000 customers in Mönsterås municipality.

E.ON has identified a fault on the five-kilometre line that serves Ålem Energi. The company is inspecting the line with staff walking the route and may also use drones.

The cause of the outage is unclear but there has been a thunderstorm in the area. Björn Persson at E.ON’s press service says that could be a reason.

By 10 pm E.ON had brought in additional resources to patrol and locate the fault. It remains unclear how long it will take to restore power.
