Les lunettes Android XR seront compatibles avec Android et iOS

Google a annoncé que ses prochaines lunettes intelligentes Android XR fonctionneront avec les appareils iOS ainsi qu'avec les téléphones Android. Le lancement de ces lunettes est prévu pour cet automne, suite à leur présentation lors de la conférence des développeurs de l'entreprise.

Ces appareils sont le fruit de partenariats entre Google, Samsung, Warby Parker et Gentle Monster. Ils offrent une assistance audio via des écouteurs et affichent des informations directement sur les verres à l'aide d'écrans intégrés. Un point essentiel est leur capacité à se connecter aussi bien aux smartphones Android qu'aux smartphones Apple sans nécessiter un système d'exploitation spécifique.
