Mike D a sorti "Switch Up", marquant son premier single en solo et le premier nouveau morceau d'un membre des Beastie Boys depuis 2011.

Le titre est né d'expérimentations dans un studio personnel impliquant Mike D et ses fils, Davis et Skyler Diamond. Les frères, qui forment le duo indie-dance Very Nice Person, partagent les crédits de production avec Carter Lang sur ce morceau. Cette sortie fait suite à une apparition surprise sur scène le 11 avril, où les frères Diamond ont rejoint leur père pour interpréter des titres des Beastie Boys, dont "Looking Down the Barrel of a Gun" et "So What’cha Want."

Sturgill Simpson, performing as Johnny Blue Skies with his band the Dark Clouds, has revealed details of their second album, Mutiny After Midnight, set for release on March 13 via Atlantic Outpost in physical formats only. The record, recorded spontaneously at Easy Eye Sound in Nashville, aims to create a groove-centered dance album addressing themes of global darkness and personal love. It follows the 2024 debut Passage Du Desir and Simpson's last release under his own name, 2021's The Ballad of Dood & Juanita.

Singer Dijon made his Coachella debut on Friday, inviting frequent collaborator Mk.gee to join him on the Outdoor Stage. The pair performed tracks including “Talk Down,” “Higher!,” and “Big Mike’s.” Dijon rounded out his set with songs from his album Baby and earlier releases.
