BIK Karlskoga signs forward Oscar Lawner to two-year deal

BIK Karlskoga announced the signing of 25-year-old forward Oscar Lawner on a two-year contract through 2028. The move bolsters the team after losing key players in the Allsvenskan final. Lawner, previously with Färjestad and Västerås, brings proven scoring ability.

BIK Karlskoga, fresh off a loss to Björklöven in the Allsvenskan final, has secured a significant addition to its roster. The club signed Oscar Lawner, a 25-year-old forward who last played for Västerås. Lawner has inked a two-year deal running until 2028, as confirmed by the team's announcement on Monday, May 4, 2026. Sportchef Torsten Yngveson praised the acquisition, stating, “Det känns bra att få in Lawner. I honom får vi en stark tvåvägsforward som vet var målet finns. Vi tror att han kommer passa väldigt bra in i BIK Karlskoga.” This signing addresses recent departures of key players from the squad. Lawner is familiar with the club, having played seven matches on loan from Färjestad at Nobelhallen during the 2021/2022 season, where he scored four goals. In his most recent campaign, he tallied 34 points (17 goals, 17 assists) in 47 Allsvenskan games for Västerås, which battled relegation. Lawner expressed enthusiasm about returning, saying, “Det känns väldigt kul att spela för BIK Karlskoga de kommande två åren. Jag har bra minnen härifrån och ser verkligen fram emot att dra igång säsongen med laget.” His resume also includes an SHL gold with Färjestad and time with Linköping.
