Brian Hooker a été remis en liberté lundi soir à l'issue d'un ultime interrogatoire d'une heure mené par la Royal Bahamas Police, a indiqué son avocate, Terrel Butler, à TMZ. Me Butler a affirmé que les autorités ne disposaient d'aucune preuve contre son client, ce qui les a contraintes à le libérer. « Il est soulagé », a-t-elle ajouté, bien que Hooker reste au centre des soupçons. La commissaire de police Shanta Knowles a confirmé que cette libération faisait suite à des échanges avec le ministère public, tout en soulignant que l'enquête se poursuivait et que l'espoir de retrouver Lynette, dont on est sans nouvelles depuis plus d'une semaine, demeurait entier.
