Cathay Pacific announced on Friday that it will postpone resumption of passenger services to Dubai and Riyadh until late October due to the latest developments in the Middle East.
The airline said daily flights to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates would now resume on October 25. Its four weekly services to Riyadh would restart on October 26.
Earlier this month Cathay had planned to resume passenger services on September 1 after a preliminary peace deal between the United States and Iran last month.
“In view of the latest developments in the Middle East, Cathay has taken the decision to postpone the resumption of its passenger and freighter services to the region,” the carrier said. Affected travellers will be offered the flexibility to rebook, reroute or refund their tickets.
The airline also dropped its previous plan to resume freighter services to Riyadh from August 1 without setting a new date.
