Cisco annonce un chiffre d'affaires record et 4 000 suppressions de postes

Cisco a annoncé un chiffre d'affaires record pour son troisième trimestre fiscal tout en faisant part de la suppression de moins de 4 000 emplois avec effet immédiat. Ces mesures interviennent alors que l'entreprise réoriente ses ressources vers l'intelligence artificielle et les technologies connexes.

Le directeur général de Cisco, Chuck Robbins, a déclaré que la société a atteint un chiffre d'affaires de 15,8 milliards de dollars au cours du trimestre, soit une hausse de 12 % par rapport à l'année précédente. Il a salué les efforts des employés pour cette croissance, mais a ajouté que l'entreprise doit réorganiser ses effectifs pour se concentrer sur les semi-conducteurs, l'optique, la sécurité et les applications d'IA.
