Aux premières heures du dimanche 12 avril 2026, un couple a été approché et visé par des coups de feu alors qu'il se trouvait dans une voiture sur la rue João Teixeira Ramos à Vila Franca, dans la zone sud de São Paulo. Le véhicule présentait de nombreux impacts de balles, selon le Secrétariat à la Sécurité Publique (SSP).

Les victimes, un homme de 40 ans et une femme de 36 ans, ont été prises en charge par les unités de secours des pompiers et transportées dans un hôpital voisin, mais ont succombé à leurs blessures. L'identité du couple n'a pas été divulguée.

La police militaire est arrivée sur les lieux après la fusillade, mais les auteurs avaient déjà pris la fuite. L'affaire a été enregistrée en tant qu'homicide au 89e district de police à Jardim Taboão.
