Une femme de Floride plaide non coupable dans une affaire de vol via Instagram

Une femme de Miami a été inculpée pour avoir volé un homme rencontré sur Instagram après l'avoir attiré dans son appartement de luxe. Nicole Cano, âgée de 30 ans, fait face à des accusations de séquestration et de vol avec violence. Elle a plaidé non coupable cette semaine et reste en détention.

L'incident s'est produit le 11 avril dans la résidence Paraiso Bayviews, située sur la 31e rue nord-est à Miami. Selon la police, Cano et la victime étaient entrés en contact sur Instagram et avaient échangé des messages ce jour-là avant de convenir d'un rendez-vous pour prendre un verre dans son appartement aux alentours de 18h15. Deux autres femmes sont alors sorties d'une chambre et ont exigé de l'argent de la part de l'homme. Lorsqu'il a déclaré ne rien avoir sur lui, le groupe a bloqué sa sortie et lui a arraché une croix en or d'une valeur de 300 dollars lors d'une lutte. Il a réussi à s'échapper et a contacté la police peu de temps après. Il a par la suite identifié Cano lors d'une séance d'identification photographique le 1er mai. Elle a été arrêtée à son domicile le 4 mai. Lors de son interrogatoire, Cano a admis avoir organisé la rencontre mais a nié avoir participé au vol ou avoir retenu la victime contre sa volonté. Le 5 mai, un avocat commis d'office lui a été désigné, elle a plaidé non coupable et il lui a été ordonné de ne pas approcher la victime. Elle est actuellement détenue au centre correctionnel Turner Guilford Knight.
