Halsey sera la vedette du film d'horreur psycho-sexuel Replacer

La pop star américaine Halsey sera la tête d'affiche du film à venir Replacer, un projet d'horreur psycho-sexuel qu'elle a coécrit avec l'acteur et réalisateur Avan Jogia. Jogia réalise le film, dont Lilly Wachowski assure la production exécutive.

Halsey incarne Proxy, une DJ perturbée bloquée à Montréal qui rencontre un artiste et son entourage gérant une station de radio clandestine. Un signal mystérieux provenant du sous-sol du métro déforme les émissions, forçant Proxy à s'échapper avant que le son ne transforme toutes les personnes impliquées en quelque chose d'irreconnaissable et de primitif. Le projet est mis en vente au marché du film de Cannes cette semaine, Halsey et Jogia étant présents pour rencontrer les acheteurs. CAA Media Finance et UTA Independent Film Group gèrent les droits pour l'Amérique du Nord, tandis que Film Mode Entertainment s'occupe des ventes internationales.
