Halsey protagonizará la película de terror psicosexual Replacer

La estrella del pop estadounidense Halsey protagonizará la próxima película Replacer, un proyecto de terror psicosexual que coescribió junto al actor y director Avan Jogia. Jogia dirige la cinta, que cuenta con Lilly Wachowski como productora ejecutiva.

Halsey interpreta a Proxy, una DJ con problemas que se encuentra atrapada en Montreal y conoce a un artista y su círculo, quienes dirigen una estación de radio clandestina. Una misteriosa señal proveniente de debajo del sistema de metro altera las transmisiones, lo que obliga a Proxy a escapar antes de que el sonido transforme a todos los involucrados en algo irreconocible y primitivo. El proyecto comenzará sus ventas en el mercado de Cannes de esta semana, donde Halsey y Jogia asistirán para reunirse con compradores. CAA Media Finance y UTA Independent Film Group se encargarán de los derechos para Norteamérica, mientras que Film Mode Entertainment gestionará las ventas internacionales.
