Isak Hien leaves World Cup after injury against Japan

Swedish defender Isak Hien was injured in the group stage match against Japan and has left the tournament. He wrote on Instagram that the dream ends prematurely.

Isak Hien was forced to leave the match against Japan after 37 minutes in Arlington, Texas. He was later seen using crutches.

The Swedish national team management announced during the night to Saturday Swedish time that the 27-year-old is leaving the World Cup.

On Instagram Hien wrote: ”A dream that has become reality, but which unfortunately ends prematurely for my part”.
