Jesper Myrenberg leaves LHC for Finnish Jukurit

Goalkeeper Jesper Myrenberg has signed a one-year deal with Finnish club Jukurit after a challenging final season with Linköping HC in the SHL.

The 26-year-old departs Sweden following several seasons with the club where he rose from junior ranks. Myrenberg said he sensed early last winter that his time in Linköping was ending.

"Sista året blev lite konstigt," he told Corren, noting reduced playing time after an injury and the emergence of Waltteri Ignatjew as the top goalie. He added that the experience helped him grow despite the difficulties.

Myrenberg emphasized no hard feelings toward LHC and described the move as a chance to challenge himself abroad rather than stay comfortable. He continues summer training in Linköping with players including Gustav Forsling before heading to Finland.
